Andy Harvey
Andy was born and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He has spent his entire professional career working and investing in DFW. For 25 years, Mr. Harvey worked in sales, while managing and directing his own wholesale paper company, United Papers Inc. During his career with United Papers Inc., the company sold and serviced every major printer and newspaper in the Southwest. In 2006, he joined Transition Capital Partners, where he served as a valuable asset, finding deals and raising equity. With his successful and extensive association with Dan Patterson, Mr. Harvey was promoted into the position of Business Development for the Patterson Thoma Family Office in January, 2010. Andy led an investment group under Harvey Howard, Inc. that purchased Empire Financial in 2014. The goal for Empire Financial is to locate niche financing opportunities. Andy is happily married to Janet Veerman for over 40 years. The Harvey’s have three children and two grandchildren. Andy is a 1972 graduate of Oklahoma State University in the school of journalism.
Michelle McClellan
Michelle started working for Empire Finance in 2010 after 15 years of staying home with her children. She assists Andy as well as the sales team making sure the daily operations run smoothly. Michelle recently moved from Tulsa to Dallas with her husband and three children, but she will always be an Oklahoma girl!
Scott Barnes
Scott serves as the President for Empire Finance. He has broad experience in providing funding solutions for businesses and public entities by developing and growing strategic partnerships with capital sources and other centers of influence. In a career spanning multiple decades, Scott has served the lower and middle markets in diverse roles in finance, operations, and business development. He has worked with a wide range of organizations from start-ups to publicly held Fortune 500 companies, covering multiple states as a banker, commercial finance provider, and consultant. Scott has also been an entrepreneur himself founding a management consulting firm, while also owning and operating a food services business. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and an MBA with concentrations in accounting and finance from Dallas Baptist University.
